A Procore alternative for RFPs, bids and subcontractors
ScopeMark is not a replacement for all of Procore. It is an alternative for one part of the job: reading an RFP, drafting the scope, subbing out to people you invite and proving the work, built for Canadian trades.

Why people look for an alternative to Procore
These are the situations where ScopeMark is worth a look. They describe a fit, not a flaw in Procore.
You need help before the project exists
Your pain is reading an RFP, scoping it and getting bids, not running a field and cost platform.
You want bidding limited to people you know
You prefer to put work only to subcontractors you have invited and who have accepted, with no open network.
Canadian paperwork is the sticking point
You track WSIB, WCB or CNESST documents and want per-province rules and GST/HST built in.
You want a narrower tool
You need RFP-to-subcontractor and proof of work, and do not need a full suite of modules.
What Procore is good at
Procore describes itself as construction project management software: one connected platform for owners, general contractors and subcontractors, from early planning through closeout. Its public pages list bid management (create, level and track bid invitations), prequalification with subcontractor risk analysis, more than 500 marketplace integrations, AI agents that work across specifications, drawings, submittals and contracts, and English and French versions of its Canadian site.
How ScopeMark is different
- It starts from the RFP itself. AI reads the documents, every finding names its page, and a count check flags when documents disagree.
- Subbing out is invite-only. There is no open job board, and a subcontractor must accept before anything is shared.
- It is built for Canadian trades. Insurance, WSIB, WCB and CNESST document rules, and GST/HST in estimates.
- Two kinds of trust, kept apart. ScopeMark Verified (is the document real and current) and Company Approved (does it meet our bar).
- No money moves. One invoice per confirmed milestone, paid by the buyer directly, with a REST API for your ERP.
ScopeMark is narrower on purpose. It is not a full field, safety and financial suite.

Who should stay with Procore, and who should look at ScopeMark
Stay with Procore if…
You need one system for the whole project: field, cost, resources and financials together, across many project types and regions. ScopeMark does not try to be that, and it would be a poor fit as a full replacement.
Look at ScopeMark if…
Your problem is the front end of the job: turning an RFP into a scope and a bid, sourcing subcontractors you trust, comparing bids fairly and proving the work, with Canadian compliance documents built in.
Switching or starting alongside
- No data import. ScopeMark does not import projects from Procore. Start with your next RFP or job.
- Keep your record where it is. Your existing system can stay the record for work already under way. ScopeMark's REST API lets an ERP or accounting system pull invoices and report payments back.
- Invite your subcontractors. They accept your invitation, upload their documents once and bid from the mobile app. Nothing is shared with a company until they accept.
- Pricing. ScopeMark is a monthly subscription with plans matched to team size and AI features. We do not compare prices here because they change and depend on the deal. Ask each vendor for a current quote.
Questions people ask
Is ScopeMark a replacement for Procore?
No. Procore is a broad construction management platform and ScopeMark is narrower. ScopeMark covers the path from an RFP or job idea to scope, invited subcontractors, proof of work and invoices. Many companies would use it in front of, or alongside, a larger system.
Why would a company look for a Procore alternative?
Usually because the problem is earlier in the job than project execution: understanding an RFP, scoping it, sourcing bids from trusted subcontractors, or tracking Canadian compliance documents. Others want a narrower tool than a full suite.
Does ScopeMark import data from Procore?
No. ScopeMark does not import projects from Procore. You start with your next RFP or job, and keep your existing system as the record for work already under way.
Can ScopeMark be used alongside a larger system?
Yes. ScopeMark's REST API lets an ERP or accounting system pull invoices and report payments back, and many companies would use ScopeMark for the RFP-to-subcontractor part of the job while another system remains their record for the rest.
Does ScopeMark hold or move our money?
No. ScopeMark does not process payments between companies and subcontractors. The buyer pays directly, outside ScopeMark, and records the payment. ScopeMark's only revenue is its subscription.
